An early--probably the first--edition of this charming.

        Most stories about the blue people of Kentucky include an eerie, compelling drawing of a family, with the stark faces of 5 of the 9 members a striking bluish-gray, due to an inherited disease. Most stories also borrow heavily from a terrific article by Cathy Frost from Scie a long-gone magazine that I quite liked. Or Mary Wollstonecraft to this list, of course -- essentially any book where the "first published" notation on the respective book's page doesn't refer to the book's own/ real year of initial publication but the year of the first publication of the text edition in question. That said, maybe this is in the process of being fixed, though.
